Vision: RVC is a community-based, non-profit organization committed to training and developing athletes and coaches in the Central Alberta area, through competitive participation in the sport of volleyball.
Mission: RVC is a competitive organization dedicated to advancing the personal and athletic development of youth through the promotion of developmental skills in a safe and caring environment in conjunction with competitive playing experiences. We will provide a safe environment where athletes can access sound coaching and training opportunities. The purpose of this Club is to allow for more training opportunities for female athletes in the sport of volleyball while cultivating perseverance, teamwork and sportsmanship that will allow athletes to pursue volleyball at a higher level or throughout life.
We are currently trying to recruit coaches for all levels. Coaches with previous coaching experience in volleyball or another sport are preferred, or have played volleyball at the college level or higher. All coaches will be required to complete a criminal record check and adhere to the coaching guidelines and certifications as set out by Volleyball Alberta.
50% of fees are due once your athlete has been assigned to a team the remainder of the fees are due no later than January 31st
Club fees do not include personal travel, family hotel fees, food for Premiers or additional tournaments that might be attended.
How long is the REVS club season?
Practices begin in December/January and finish at the end of April/May after the Volleyball Alberta Provincial Tournament.
Some teams may choose to attend Nationals which occur in mid to late May.
How many practices are there each week?
Teams practice 2 to 3 times a week.
How many Premiers (tournaments) do teams attend in a season?
There are 3 (2 for U12/U13) Alberta Volleyball sanctioned Premiers in the club season plus provincials for all age groups. Premiers and Provincials are located in the Edmonton area, Calgary area, and Red Deer.
